Privacy Policy

Services Covered by This Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Lantide, the team or company that provides and operates the Services, handles information when you use the Lantide Data desktop application and our website. Lantide Data is a local-first desktop data-analysis product.

Local-first and Desktop Application Data

Data files you load or create in Lantide Data, workspace content, query results, settings, conversation records, and local logs are stored and processed on your device by default. Lantide does not automatically upload this information to its servers.

Lantide Data currently does not actively send usage tracking, crash reports, or other telemetry to Lantide. We receive information only when you choose to share it, for example by email, a bug report, screenshots, exported diagnostics, or another voluntary method. Do not include unnecessary personal information, API keys, passwords, or confidential information in a report.

AI Model Endpoints and External Integrations

When you configure and use AI features, the application may directly send prompts, conversation content, data structure, field information, or other necessary context to the model API, compatible endpoint, or local model you choose. How that endpoint handles information depends on your agreement with the provider and its privacy policy.

Lantide does not host or proxy these model requests and has no partnership or agency relationship with model providers. External Agents, data sources, and other services connected through MCP are also selected and authorized by you; their data practices are governed by their own terms and policies.

Website, Contact, and Feedback Information

When you visit the website, hosting or network services may process basic technical information, such as IP address, browser information, request time, and requested pages, for security, delivery, and debugging. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate page traffic, referrer sources, and website performance. We also count installer download clicks by platform and page language. These website measurements do not include desktop application content, account identifiers, or cross-site advertising profiles.

When you contact us or provide feedback, we process the contact information, messages, and attachments you choose to provide so that we can respond or improve the Services. We do not sell personal data or use desktop application data to build advertising audiences. If the website uses necessary cookies, they are used to provide website functionality or remember necessary preferences, not for cross-site advertising tracking.

Retention, Deletion, and Your Choices

Data in the desktop application is primarily managed locally by you. To remove local data, delete the workspaces, application data, and any exports or backups as appropriate. Uninstalling the application alone may not remove all local data.

We retain information you voluntarily provide for as long as needed to respond to you or handle feedback, and may then retain or delete it as reasonably necessary for operational, legal, or dispute-resolution purposes. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold that relates to your direct contact or feedback. Other rights provided by applicable law remain unaffected.

Security, Changes, and Contact

No method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Please protect your device, workspace, accounts, and API keys, and review diagnostic information before you share it.

We may update this Policy to reflect changes to the Services or legal requirements and will post the updated date on this page. For privacy questions or to exercise applicable rights, contact support@lantidedata.com.
