16. Appearance and Interface Settings
16.1 Dark / Light Theme
Click the theme toggle (sun / moon icon) in the top title bar to switch between dark and light themes. The editor and all interface elements update together.
Note: The title bar does not provide global UI zoom (+/−). The app displays at the default 100% scale.
16.2 Sidebar and Right Panel Width
- Sidebar: Drag the right edge of the sidebar to resize. Width is saved per workspace; if no workspace-specific value exists yet, the global default or most recent general width is used. Width preferences are written after the UI finishes loading to avoid layout jumps on first launch.
- Right panel: Drag the left edge of the right panel to resize the content area. The combined width of the content area and the right icon strip (including Astroid, Export) is capped at about 45% of the window width; on very narrow windows the minimum content width of 260px applies, so total width may slightly exceed that ratio.
- Editor / results split: Drag the divider between the editor and results panel to adjust the vertical split.
16.3 Toast Notifications
When an action succeeds, fails, or needs a next step, a brief Toast appears on screen. At most 3 are shown at once; when there are more, the oldest is removed to prevent notifications from piling up.
- Ordinary success / info notifications usually show for about 4 seconds; destructive warnings for about 9 seconds; notifications with an action button for about 10 seconds. Individual flows can specify a different duration as needed.
- Hovering over a Toast, focusing it with the keyboard, or interacting via swipe pauses the countdown so you have time to read or act.
- Persistent connection, recovery, or conflict problems do not rely on Toasts alone; refer to the corresponding banner, status card, Header, or Agent Integration instead.
